Time and process

Looking back through some of my posts, one thing that has become apparent is the lost time the reader would not see. In effect, many of these processes take several days to perform/produce and yet they seem incredibly fleeting here.

Just collecting local clay - an hour

sieving-two hours, letting down with water ten minutes,

letting dry enough to use- two weeks ,

a single throwing session may take four to six hours using standard clay

then three days to dry

two hours adding slips

one day to dry

one hour scraffito drawing

two days to fire

one day to cool

half an hour adding glaze

two days to fire

........Where did that time go in the act of recording and presenting the work?
