Burning the log

It somehow seemed important to refer back to the core samples I did during November 2017 and my interim sculptural piece which included the results of burning a log as part of the piece. I feel it makes a reference to the process of heat and burning which allows the ceramic to become a thing. I managed to source a log at a similar width but needed it be levelled and so I had to research how to level a log by buying a router and building my own jig! I then went on to square off and burn the log.
